Mr. *Beverly Randolph,
I hope all is well. I actively support your continued candidacy for Governor of the great Commonwealth of Virginia. That being said, I urge you to join the Republican party. Having you in a position to be a leading example of a State stopping the overreach that is the Federalist plans of big government. Your knowledge and strength in the Governors office is commendable. It can only lead the Republican party down a path of real liberty. Together we can lead by example. I implore you to consider the Virginia's future under a big central government, and to understand the dangerous road we are on.
Governor, again I sincerely hope all is well and I invite you to come to be my guest in Williamsburg at your convenience.
Your Friend,
/s/ Thomas Cole Representative of Congress Virginia 10th

Congressman,
Thank you for writing to me. For the most part, we agree politically and I must admit that having Federalist opposition is worrisome. Therefore, I will be informing the legislature that I should like to be considered a Republican.
Thank you for your invitation. I will call on you at your home after this rain clears.
Yours,
Beverly Randolph

Mr. ~Elijah MacDonald,
I hope this letter finds you in good health. I write you today in hopes of convincing you to join the Virginia delegation and support the Republican Party. Our great Commonwealth has faith in us to represent the best of what she is, and I know you to be an honorable man. Our party will continue to help Virginia stand in the way of an overreaching Federal Government.
Again I hope all is well with you and your family. If you don't wish to join the party consider caucusing with us so we can continue to fight for the best interests of Virginia. Please join me in Williamsburg sometime at my expense. May God bless you and your Family

Mr. Cole,
I thank you for your kind words, I hope you understand that I feel Virginia is better served by not holding solely to a single line of thought, but rather by taking of all the fruits and avoiding the thorns. If I were to join a party, I feel I could not serve Virginia as well as I can as an independent Congressman.
