Bio: Thomas Cole was born to Benjamin Cole, and Katherine Cole. He is the youngest of 5 sons the others being Benjamin, Gabriel, William, and Michael. His father served in the French and Indian War, and was killed in the early days of the Revolutionary War. Thomas decided to follow in his fathers footsteps and joined after his fathers death. Thomas quickly rose through the ranks, have gained a reputation as his fathers son. He was injured in Washington's New York Campaign, taking a bullet in the shoulder. While training in Virginia after his injury he met his wife, Abigail. The two soon married and had a child, Benjamin, in honor of his father. The two eventually had two more children Issac, and Elijah. Despite this injury he continued to fight in the war. Eventually rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. At the end of the war, Thomas returned to the family farm in Virginia, to help his mother, and brothers. It wasn't long after that when Thomas was called back to duty to help train soldiers. After the death of their middle son Issac, Thomas was convinced to join Congress to replace Samuel Griffin, who has resigned his seat after being reelected mayor of Williamsburg.
