Dear Mr. Jefferson,
It gives me undue pleasure that President Washington has asked you to serve as his Secretary of State. Your extensive service to our nation, both abroad and here at home, make you an exemplary choice for this post. I wish the best of luck and offer what little safe advice and old friend can offer. Hold the line and stand up for the ideals in which you and so many Americans believe.
Blessings,
Steven Fisher

Congressman,
Thank you for writing to me. While such an appointment may be imminent, I believe that the President is waiting until Congress creates the executive bureau.
Yours,
Thomas Jefferson

Congressman Fisher,
It would be an honor to have you join myself and my family for a ball at our plantation in a few days time, I can send a carriage to transport you here from Washington if you'd like and provide you with accomodations at one of our many guest houses on the plantation. It would be simply spectacular to have another fellow Republican in attendance and even more so to introduce you to the many people who live in the surrounding community. Many of my fellow plantation owners are wanting to meet the people that I am working with in Washington so they better can understand our young democracy as it develops.
Sincerely,
William Brandt
