Newspapers are now permitted to poll their readers with questions. IC, they function as leaflets inserted in your newspaper with your readers filling them out and returning them to you. It costs $10 per readership point that you are polling.
1. You may only poll your paper's market share of each state (as determined by Readership Points of the previous year).
2. You may conduct joint polls with other newspapers but each paper must pay for their portion of the poll separately. Results will be combined and are generally more accurate.
3. Each newspaper is limited to one poll per game year.
4. Each poll may only ask one question and each question may only have four possible choices.
5. You are permitted to poll a paper's entire audience or limit it by states.
6. Results of the poll will be posted directly in your newspaper.
In order to commission a poll, simply reply to this thread with the following format:
Straw polls are not to be considered scientific. Their accuracy depends on a number of factors including your paper's market share of that state, the partisanship of your paper, and the objectivity of your poll questions and answers.
