Bio: Born Thomas Christopher Crowe to John and Patricia Crowe on June 20,1747 in ritual Pennsylvania. His parents however wanted him to do greater things than just farm, so they impressed in him the values of hard work and an appreciation for education. At the age of 16 he attended Harvard University and upon graduation he returned to Philadelphia to work as a lawyer and eventually a Judge. Thomas was extremely active in the early revolution and in state politics, being elected Mayor of his town as well as participating in the local revolutionary group. When the First Continental Congress convened in Philadelphia, Tom was elected to represent his state and he kept his seat until the Congress was dismissed after the revolution. After the war he went back to Philadelphia where he continued working as a judge as well as publishing academic papers on public policy and governmental affairs. With the passage of the constitution, Thomas now represents his hometown as a member of Congress. Congressman Crowe is a Quaker and is married with two children
