You may hold campaign events to influence the Presidential, House, Senate, or Governorship races in your home state by posting here. You may not do events outside of your home state. These events are very simplistic, often involving your character standing in a public square giving a speech. To allow for maximum roleplay, there is no limit to these events, but I am NOT looking for a spam war. Each event needs to be unique, of good quality, and serve a purpose. Remember that your character should never campaign for himself -- that's what your multis are for!

Thaddeus Steward delivered a speech in a town square in Baltimore in support of the election of George Dent:
"George Dent is a man that Maryland needs to send to the United States House of Representatives. He is a man of good prominence in Charles County and he can properly represent all of Maryland. He is a man who understands the necessity of wise fighting and putting the rule of law above the rule of men. He served as a Lieutenant of a county militia and as a Captain in the Maryland Militia during our war for independence. He has served as both a Justice for the Charles County court and he has served with distinction in the Maryland state Senate as President thereof.
The most important quality of George Dent is that he continues to support our fair President Washington's administration. Despite rising factionalism, the President has proclaimed his desire to remain independent and I applaud that decision. The President deserves men who will support him in that endeavor and in implementing his preferred policies, and George Dent is such a man. If we still love our General Washington, let us re-elect Washington and send men like George Dent to the capitol to support him."

Thaddeus Steward spoke in Annapolis urging those who would listen to vote for William Hindman
"William Hindman can be a fresh voice for Maryland in the United States capitol. William Hindman is from Dorchester County on the other side of Chesapeake Bay and I will be voting for him on election day. I will be voting for him as he is a man of small, yet good reputation and has the sturdy background of the sort of men needed. He has served as a planter, which is an experience I value highly. William understands the law deeply and fully, as he has studied in London. Of particular importance, as financial matters have frequently arisen in recent Congresses, he understands finance as he has served as our own Treasurer for the Eastern Shore.
It is due to this wide breadth of background that I will be voting for William Hindman and I believe all of Maryland should do the same."

Julian Clinton speaking Hartford in favor of Benjamin Huntington
My friends I come before you today to endorse and recommend to you a true hero, a patriot, and a man of wisdom who has thrown his hat into the ring for Congress. He served valiantly as a General during our fight to separate from England. He served as a delegate to the Continental Congress and as a member of the House of Representatives. Now he desires to return to Congress to continue to fight for the good people of this great state. That man is Benjamin Huntington. He has shown true class and character, a learned man who deals fairly with all. He is truly someone who can represent you well in our nation's government.
He will fight for Connecticut, for President Washington and for our Union as he so proudly did during the war. He is our hero and we should give him a hero's just reward and elect him back to the United States Congress.

Julian Clinton speaking in Hartford in favor of Jeremiah Wadsworth
Today I am here to tell you why I support sending Jeremiah Wadsworth to Congress. He has served our nation nobly in both the Continental and Federal Congress. He has shown that Connecticut breeds true and righteous men and his actions are widely spoken of by all of his colleagues. In addition, he is a merchant, a man of his own make who lifted himself up and has dutifully employed many here in this fair city. He is a many of trueness and integrity. All who know him speak highly and those who don't have heard rumor of his good deeds. He also served our nation with courage during the war as a Colonel.
Now he seeks to return to Congress to continue to support his commanding officer, General Washington, and the good people of Connecticut. With your help and your vote we will accomplish that and send Mr. Wadsworth back to Congress to serve our nation.

My friends and colleagues I stand before you today to support Mr. Jonathan Grout to be sent to Congress to serve the will of the people. This able and inventive man served you honorably in the First session of Congress. He upheld is sacred duty and worked hard to help the people of the Bay State. He stood side by side with President Washington and did all he could support the President. Now he seeks to return to keep up the good work he and the President have started by investing in our nation, in Massachusetts, and ourselves.
He is a man of honor and integrity who will fight to ensure that every man shall have a solid opportunity at success, enlightenment and opportunity. Just a quick note that you may only give speeches in your home state.
