conceivedinliberty.freeforums.net/thread/27/master-election-list?page=1&scrollTo=2639That is the list of known candidates and competitive races. At any time before the filing deadline, the party may convince other candidates to run (NPCs are free). For each contested election below I have included a rough estimate of polling. It shouldn't be seen as party membership in that district, simply how the vote would go without player intervention. Each party should select four races that they wish to actively roleplay. I would recommend that you chose the races that have your party losing by a small majority. In states that are at-large, you will need to select the entire state. This list is also required by the filing deadline (Sunday night). I'm willing to allow more time before the filing deadline if we need, but we could theoretically do this in a day. You'll notice that some active players are being opposed, but none have serious challengers. You should consider the opposition as flattery, as the admin team is giving you an opportunity to roleplay your own election if you so desire.

Are we making final declarations here?
Anyway, to all the Federalists up in here, these are some thoughts I had (FOR DISCUSSION):
- NC-5: Close race, and as a southern F, I'd like to think I can influence well. I think it's very possible and I think it'd be a good narrative if we win. - Pennsylvania AL: We can pick up two here, or more if we get more Federalists to run. I'm trying to count independents as our allies, but it does seem like a swingy state (which I guess it was for 200 years) if we focused hard could make some inroads with. - CT: Of all the states, I think we could be in a position for a sweep here. Again, a FANTASTIC narrative. We can pick up 3 seats here, and hold 2 more, if we get our five candidates above 10% (we've 2 above, 2 at, 1 below) - MD: We can pick up 1 seat here, hold another, and deny 2 GOP and 1 ND if we back indies. No polling yet.

Let's go after Hughes. If we win that seat, we are in a great position.

Well, it's a "All of the above" state. So chances that we'll actually unseat him are kind of slim.

We'd go hard to unseat him. If he is out, the New Democrats will probably fall.

Maybe we can drop MD. There are two new Federalist MD players that just signed in- I want to see what Tedder does with them for the election and we can sway that out for NH?

You're masked as a Federalist- and you came in after those lists are prepared. My bet is that Tedder will have someone "resign" and then you get in a special election. Believe me. We'd MUCH rather have you here with the Federalists than out on your own.

Yep, you're both exactly right. I'll have one of the independents resign to make room for ya.

Ok, so then NH is a go. Are we allowed to put out pamphlets or something? or do we just let it be?

What about VA-10?

Obviously it is up to the Chairman. I don't think VA 10 is worth the effort.

Addie beat me to it. Remember that you are limited to 1 editorial per character.
The list has been updated to include polling for PA and MD. The new players are also included in the polling while +Carroll is no longer running. I've also fixed some formatting errors.

Key, as Chairman of the party, are these races alright with you?

So, are we satisfied with the MD situation as it currently stands? Or should I devote some time there to run up the score and promote the Federalist Party?
Further, what issues shall we press in the campaign? I imagine attempting to rally support for a national bank is paramount. Are there any other big issues that are being overlooked?
Additionally, should we raise alarms among the voters about the National Democrats plans to extend the voting franchise recklessly? I imagine the public can be convinced that the Republicans would support those plans, the image of Jefferson being what it is and all.

I personally think we're alright in Maryland and can focus on sending a message in NH. Though I think the party chairman should weigh in.
Actually, the more I look at it, I think Maryland is a better bet. More seats in that state to take over NH- and now we have campaigners there!

Federalist support for heavy industrial expansion and more internationalist viewpoints could be a major talking point as 80% of maritime commerce has disappeared since the end of the War for Independence, due to the fall in demand for imported goods and supplies. Maryland has a very diverse economy, lots of heavy and light industry, shipping ports, and it's economy could significantly benefit from our policies in comparison to the Republicans.

I think this is what our candidate list should look like. I've BOLDED the candidates we should support. I'll note in PA that for Muhlenberg and Hiester that they actually (in RL) become Republicans, but they're a powerful PA family and I don't think it'd hurt to have them on our side.
Any thoughts? Key, as Chair?

I think Key has been Busy as of late, so as the Floor leader, and the highest ranking Federalist to have been active as of late,(sorry, Key, just haven't seen you lately), I think this is an acceptable list of races.
