So the whole point of this thread is 1) mainly to say hello to everyone in the party! So hey guys! And 2) Can I get a rough stance on where we stand as a party on the current major issues. Just so I can get the idea. Thanks in advance.

Hey, Michael! Welcome to the game! I'm glad to help out.
The Republican Party is the conservative party in game. Republicans want a truly tiny federal government -- they oppose the existence of any standing army, oppose a national bank, and generally oppose any expansion of the federal government. Republicans also strongly support France as opposed to England in foreign affairs. But that's sorta the base of the ideology -- I myself am more of a moderate (favoring a small standing army, restrained national bank, etc.), and favoring neutrality internationally. You're not required to live by the party's ideology by any means, though you should certainly be somewhere near to it.

You're not required to live by the party's ideology by any means, though you should certainly be somewhere near to it. First Terrus is exactly right. If you chose to be a Republican than you chose to stick strictly to the Constitution. Second, Terrus is right again. We're not a "national party", not yet anyways, so your ideology can differ from anyone's in the party. Major issues: France: No one is taking the Revolution in France too seriously. King Louis XVI pretty much gave up the throne with little bloodshed. Army/Navy: I supported the Navy big time because in reality the Navy of the time sucked hard core. The British were able to rule the Atlantic with an iron fist. My character personally wants to match the British Navy one day gun for gun and ship for ship. I disagreed largely with Terrus on a National Army. However that didn't stop us from being polite to one another during the debate of the bill. Taxes/Budget: Well obviously less spending and less taxation! Bank: I'm opposed to a National Bank, however Terrus has drawn up a bill that if implemented correctly could be a great boon for the new American Economy. So play how you'd like to play, however note that we are the Constitutionalist Party. If it's not stated specifically in the Constitution assume that we automatically oppose it.

Our pleasure. A note, though, Cole -- in this period, state means WAY more than party. You're serving Virginia, 100%. So you should do whatever benefits Virginia the most. Do a bit of research into Virginia at the time.

Is there a bill that needs sponsored. I would like to get that 1st intelligence point. Why not author your own? Write up a bill naming a post office in your home town for starters As to your question, we don't have any Party Authored bills that need sponsorship.
