Entry 1#
Dear Journal,
Today I met a very curious man whom I think is mentally unfit by the name of Surrat who insists that there is a place called Virginia Beach when in reality there is no such place in existance in the whole of the state of Virginia. Such individuals like this who take leave of good nature and reason have no place within the hallowed halls of Congress upon which our liberty and democracy principally reside, they should be committed and locked away with the key firmly hidden from sight. I do hope the dear fellow gets help before he makes a degradation of his mental faculties in such a public setting.

Saw a young man fall into a creek, I went down to rescue him and he pushed me away saying he was there to fornicate with his sister. The practices of some people in the more rural parts of America are most bewitching in their peculiarity.

Introduced several new bills into law today one of which will abolish the heinous nature of hanging which suffocates the individual, a quick blade to the neck will hasten their moment in paradise or eternal damnation depending on their personal condition.

Finished a letter to an old family friend

Working on a letter to my overseer of slaves, need to make sure productivity is up to appropriate levels for cotton season as it approaches. Planning a return to the plantations in South Carolina & Georgia in the near future, hope to see the results of such productivity soon.

Finished the letter, now headed to meet with Alexander Hamilton's wife to talk about the missives I miss so very much from Hamilton

Had a delightful talk with Alexander Hamilton's wife and I must say her beauty is renowned if only she was available

Hard at work on a pamphlet right now for publication in a newspaper, I feel if we work hard enough we can sufficiently come to great cause for the abolition of hanging and the introduction of the guillotine. Our very humanity demands upon us penalties that are reflective of our nature yet our principled caution as humans must prevail in the end.

Headed to the tavern for a quick meeting with several Federalists before bed.

It is a late evening and I am of the mind to take a respite from the days events, tomorrow my day shall be exponentially busier, I can only imagine as new bills are introduced and new practices debated. It shall be glorious I suspect.
